Developers are kicking off construction on a new apartment community in Frisco. Dallas-based StreetLights Residential has broken ground on the 358-unit Margo rental community located just west of the Dallas North Tollway. The project is the third phase of The Canals at Grand Park development. The 4-story apartment project is located near Cotton Gin Road and will join almost 700 rental units StreetLights Residential has already built in the Canals at Grand Park. StreetLights started the 152-acre development in 2014 in a partnership with Dallas-based Charter Holdings and Arcadia Realty Corp. The apartment complex includes a community center, two pools, a lawn with outdoor games, athletic club and game and theater room “Our tenants tend to be very active – walkability and accessibility to neighborhood amenities are pivotal – they are looking for a great mix of features complete with modern touches,” StreetLights CEO Doug Chesnut said in a statement. “The Margo continues th...
